I am working with an investor that mentioned the word leverage said like "leave-ridge". Is this a real realty term or does he mean the same thing as leverage like getting in a good position for the deal? Sounds like the same thing to me but I second guess this sometimes when he is talking.

It is a financial term used to describe contolling a large sum but with a much smaller sum. The greater the difference the more leverage.
