First step: is your business licensed, bonded and insured?

There's nothing like having your own, call some of your local contractors and ask them who they use. Your 1st year is going to be higher, then it will go down depending on the money you make.(insurance that is)

Make your flyers and go to Real Estate Shops. Let Realtors and Agents alike know that your in business. Also stop by open houses and talk with the Agents their and get their feedback. Let me know how this works for you.

You and everybody else with a truck & a mower - at least you're doing it right with the licensing/bonding/insuring part.

Offer 25-50% off your first job with a client - money talks and there's a lot of guys out there with trucks competing for business.

You'll have to pay to get your foot in the door - after that, you'll be dazzling them with your efficiency, speed and attention to detail or what-have-you...

Good luck!!

Listen to Artiste by paying to get your first jobs, then find out what it's like to see your fees drop from there, and finally see what it's like to go out of business.

Good Advise!
