Anyone doing this or is there a liability to this. We would be listing the properties and then getting the renter together with the owner and not brokering any part of the deal. I really don't want to be in the rental business but this be a good service to provide.

I think it's a PITA myself. I refer people who are looking for rentals to Craigslist and other local online message boards...by having it on your site you're going to get a flood of people contacting you wanting you to find them the perfect rental and taking your time away from clients who will actually buy something.

Yep before adding anything you have to know how you will make money off of it.

Now you could show a FREE FSBO's online and then when it's not working for them they will come to you to list a majority of the time.

Around my parts the Army has a rental site. Much better and safer than craigs list. I would put my efforts there if it applies to your area.

There might be but with rentals you are looking at property management and that runs up your broker E and O policy a lot on your annual premium and some won't even underwrite you because of it. The reason is their research has shown with that type of policy you have a much higher litigation rate than traditional sales.

I like to keep it simple and focus on sales. The more little things you add in the more that can go wrong.
