There's a reason they're called "brokers".
It's hard to determine, and it depends on who, what, and where you are.
A broker might work for the owner of a company and get a salary plus a part of each agent's commissions.
Or a broker might also be the owner and get more.
A good agent can make 6 figures annually pretty easily.
A broker has more responsibility and more liability than a typical agent.
All in all I've been pretty happy being an agent for the past 25 years and have never wanted to be a broker of any kind.
