Just completed one for RRR after a long lapse of doing anything for them. They used to give me quite a few but about 2 or 3 years ago dropped of my active list. I assume they went fee shopping and found someone that would work for less but as I have said in numerous posts I don't participate in fee cutting. I'm still charging what I did 7 or 8 years ago; have not increased largely due to being able to complete forms on the computer (we had to type on faxed blanks when I first started this) and using digital pictures (in the old days the prints from the film had to be mounted on the forms). As for the order just done I expect it was a no other agent in the area scenario; I cover a lot of rural ground!

Concepts05: The tax map research is not that bad for several of the counties I cover as they are available on line (one of the two Multiple Listing Services I belong to subscribes to a service for the members), for the other counties I am compiling a library of maps as needed.

OH REO - Funny about those accents. I already had a bunch last week, then RRR called with 3 more and I thought he said.. "due tommorow". Well, the pay was better than usual so I said ok even though I knew I'd be pressured.

Well, I "busted my hump" that night and the next day to complete everything but got pretty stressed because I was about an hour late with the last RRR BPO. (I'm never late)

Filing the paperwork over the weekend, I actually read the RRR orders. They weren't due for THREE MORE DAYS!

Live and Learn! I will ALWAYS read the orders from now on!

Another RRReview issue. Just completed an interior on a house that's basically built upside-down. The common areas are in the finished basement, the bedrooms on the ground floor. They called and said they don't want the basement counted in sq footage. Ok, fine. So I told them they have a property that is not functional as a house because it has no kitchen. They can't count only above grade sq footage but still count the below grade rooms. Ya can't have everything.

I have been registered with RRReview since last summer, but have never been offered a BPO. For those of you who do work for them, how low do you have to make your fees to get work from them? Are low fees the key, or is it something else??? Do I have to offer a sacrifice to the BPO gods? \:D

Once I lowered my fees to $39.99 for exteriors...I started getting $40 orders....Then after a few, I stopped accepting them....Personally, I don't think it's worth it....I'd rather work for at least $50 on the exteriors with easy forms that take 30-45 mins...the companies that pay the lowball fees, also seem to have the most difficult and annoying forms...go figure

Fees are definately key.

I got a call from a rep who told me that they had a lot of business in my area, and that if I lowered my fees I would be very busy.

I get the occaisonal order from them, usually a rush, and gladly accept it, but I'm not interested in working for less.

So all they care about is fee's, not quality? If I lower my fees to $39 and do a good job and establish a relationship, then raise them, they will send the orders to someone else? I have not seen any other companies work this way. Do they at least offer you BPO's close to your office like CC (usally)? Or could they be farther away?
Thanks for your comments!

LOL. No, they want you to do a good job AND they only want to pay you about a dollar to do it. \:\) I believe that you are right, if you take them for the lower amount, do a few and then raise your price they will simply move on to another agent. It's a business and they are in business to make money. If they can get a decent BPO from an agent willing to do it for $35, why wouldn't they?

I've raised my fee with RRR from $40, then to $50 now $60 for an exterior and $70 for a "rush". I don't get a lot but usually 4-5 a week. I was thinking of dropping them when they were paying $50 as I don't like their form at all. But at $60 it is easier to do! (hmmm...thats weird, huh?)

And they are paying in under 30 days...

Anyone else get this survey on how to improve their website?

It's actually kind of ironic - I don't have a problem with the "performance" of the RRR site but can't get the survey to submit!
It keeps telling me I haven't answered all the questions. Maybe I should log onto the RRR site and complain about the performance of the SURVEY site? ;\)

I had no problems submitting the survey. Before you give them hell about the survey maybe you should look at it again, most likely you made a mistake.

I wasn't really going to give 'em hell...(see the little wink ;\) !)... not going to bite the hand that feeds me and all that.

I'll go in and try to submit again later...since I guess it was just me.

Yep, I got it too. My biggest problem with their website is uploading photos one at a time. Browse, select, click, wait...wait...wait...repeat. They need to improve that. Interiors are a real PITA.

I didn't have any trouble submitting their survey. I was pleased that they wanted agents' input.
