Has anyone used any of the below schools' 60 hour online courses for your pre-salesman course for the state of Alabama?
Real Estate Express Cooke Real Estate School Career Academy of Real Estate
I've narrowed it down to the above three online schools, but it seems that Real Estate Express has the best deal so far; they have a deal where they guarantee that you pass the state exam or your money back, savings on the Diamond package that includes mostly everything needed to get started.
Anyone have any good information on any of the schools, preferably information on Real Estate Express' school?
Thanks and it's great to be a member of the forums, Matthew Wright

Thanks for the replies! I started with RealEstateExpress.com last night; so far I like the course. I'll let you know how everything turns out.
A friend of mine said that some agents that he works with has used this online school, but that he didn't know anything about the pre-license and the Diamond package that they are offering.
I would take in class courses, but I had a vehicle accident about 8 weeks ago and broke my femur. I'm still not able to get around like I did before. I go to therapy and I anticipate going back to work at my old job just as soon as my employer releases me to go back.
I thought that there was not a better time to get licensed and try to start up somewhat part time than now. I have a lot of downtime and I have been thinking about this career move for some time now.
I hope that everything works out for the best!

I am doing RECAMPUS.com
Its good, I like it and the way they ago about testing what you are learning is good too. I just finished Principles of Real Estate 1 and am moving to the next class. I'm taking 5 including a Prep Course online for the exam.

I am taking online classes at Allied Schools (http://www.realestatelicense.com/)
They have a pretty good program for military so I get all the books for free. I'm only in the first class but it seems to be going alright.
I also had a question for anybody who would know about this stuff. Should I contact a broker before or after I get my real estate license about possible employment in the future?
Thanks, Josh

Yes, I definitely need help passing the time, LOL. Before my accident I was taking college courses and working full time, not to mention happily married with a 10 month old beautiful little girl.
Before beginning courses I was very bored, sometimes even looking forwards to the trips to therapy for my leg. LOL!
The course is going well, I'm taking my time and going back through some of the units to try and grasp all of the information, especially the real estate math. I must remember that taxes and insurance are on different numbered calendar years, 360 and 365.
I'm sure like anything though, once it's done on a daily basis it would probably be difficult to understand how one couldn't remember the information.
I'm really excited about the career field and I look forwards to learning a lot more and to hopefully be very successful, although there is definitely a lot more involved that in my wildest imagination...

How's your online class going? I started the RealEstateExpress.com Florida Pre-License course a week and a half ago. I'm a little over halfway through and, like you, am going back over the previous units as I progress.
So far, I'm satisfied with the course. I guess it boils down to whether we pass the exam or not if the course was worth it. I also bought several used books on Amazon.com that were recommended here in the forums that should help.
Can't wait to be done though and ready to start prospecting.
Good luck!

Matthew,
I'll bet you are back at work, since you haven't been online in a while. How's the leg?

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
