Hi all-

Currently have my property up for rent. Have ads in Craigslist and the Atlanta Journal free online classifieds, plus a sign on a busy street corner, in front of the neighborhood and at the house. Have done my research and believe it's reasonably priced. My questions are this:

1. How long does it take most folks to rent a property? So far it's been over 2 weeks and no luck.

2. How many people do you talk to/show the house to before you get an app/tenant?

Think that's all for now. Just trying to figure if I'm being impatient or need to look at ways to do things better. I've probably had over 20 phone calls on the place, about 6 showings, at least 4 no-shows and one filled out app, that I couldn't reach most of the referrals on.

Any help/advice greatly appreciated!

Ask Yourself is the price really right for the location and are there a lot of rentals competing with you which will mean more time to get a suitable renter.

thanks - we should have about 5 people looking tomorrow possibly more - so the price should be right and there is only one more rental around that I see for a few miles.

Good afternoon Lisa,
To reach a wider demographic base, I would advertise in a local newspaper. Sounds old fashioned, but it works, and it's worth the expense to get a rental agreement signed faster.
