I fought going on vaction this summer all year long. But after 7 days in Destin,FL I am one happy agent! For those considering a vacation go for it! I feel refreshed and ready to go.

As luck would have it...one of my homes closed while I was gone and just had an accepted offer on one of my listings this morning.

Now if I could just put the memories of those snapper, grouper, and king fish I caught out of my head maybe some work will get done.

The title to this thread is something I have never heard of. What's a vacation? I am unfamiliar with this term.

A vacation is when you work somewhere else like the mountains or the beach. :-) If you don't have anything going on and want to get really really busy, schedule a vacation. It works every time!

When I go on vacation from now on I am going to hand my business over to 1 agent and 1 agent only from now on and return the favor for him next time he needs a week away.

I also have not heard of that word in a long time. Glad you were able to get away. I hope so very soon.

Greene I stayed there and did the Triathlon last year. This year I was too busy and didn't have time to go or do the Triathlon. Oh well maybe next year!

That is what I was thinking too...lol.

I seriously do need a vacation though. You guys would all think I was crazy if I told you the last time I went on vacation. I am pretty sure I got everyone beat there.

I agreed to head to Tennessee last week for a few days (Pigeon Forge). WOW, what an ugly town. But the condo was free for 3 days the wife and kids wanted to go, who am I to say no.

The week following up to it was the busiest for a long time. Offers coming in, offers going out getting accepted, deals getting close to imploding. While I was gone (Friday thru Monday) I actually did relax. Sure I snuck in a few minutes to check emails and Voice mails, but to my amazement, the world did not fall apart with my small vacation.

We spent alot of time in the mountains, the State Park and stayed out of the tourist areas. Of course the heated pool and the view was worth the stay. Overall, very relaxing.

This is a great thread for me right now. I have been putting off a family vacation all summer thinking "what if this buyer comes to town" and "what if I lose a sale"...but the truth is the world will go on without me and Columbia SC real estate will be here when I get back.

This Friday I am out...gonna take my family to Folly Beach:)

I'm covering for a 30 year vet in office that is on vacation in Rhode Island for a week. I'm getting 2-3 calls a day since she left on Friday to do things for a listing I put on for her the day she left (such as bring cds of house, install lockbox, make virtual tour, etc).

It pays to have a team partner, someone with whom you may share a listing or 2 once in awhile. You can cover for each other when time away is needed, most Brokers love this as it helps them greatly.

My daughter is my assistant, and she does a great job of covering for me when I need to be out of town. I would love to have a real family vacation, though, when we could go out of town together!

That's cool. I am actually from Rhode Island. How I got to Vegas is another story...lol. It seems like everyone I know is back in Rhode Island right now for vacation too. My mother is out there, my sister and her family is out there, my friend is out there. They all live in Vegas too! My dad is out there too, but he lives there. I want to go to Rhode Island now too!
