Have you tried Google Calendar? You can use this in conjuction with Google destop and it will give you alerts. Or for that matter you could always use Outlook. I prefer Google as I dont like Outlook as a email client.
There are also many scheduling freeware programs available. I just like google because it interfaces well with my gmail account, is free, and I can have access to it from any computer.

I like the use of Outlook myself. Sent up reminders in Outlook. They will appear on your screen. Very simple to use and best of all, if it's on your computer already, no need to spend any money on a fancy computer.
My Outlook in linked to my pocket PC. Another great feature with no additional cost.

I have used a few different products for this and am not really 100% satisifed with any of them except one. Outlook is good if you like it for your email program as well. If you run Linux Evolution is much like Outlook. Lotus smart suite 2000 has a build in contact manager that works fairly well but it is hard to find (ebay) and Lotus offers no support for it. The one product that really stands out from the crowd is an older version of Symantec Act. Don't get teh newer versions of ACT it is garbage, if you read the user reviews on Amazon dot com almost all of the reviews have nothing but bad things to say about the new vendor and its product. The versions of ACT that I like to use (you'll have to shop on ebay to find it is ACT 2000 when it was released it was priced around $200 - $300 it is still worth that because it is the finest contact management software ever released but you can find it on ebay for usually around $20 - $30 (search ebay for "symantec ACT")

i have a tool similar that you need, is for another business but i think you can get some like this, a payd 2.000 U$S, a lot!, but the software works on internet, i have a nokia 770 internet table and im know in every moment when a domaias is ready to buy and send me mails and send sms to my cell phone when an important appointment start. Is a very good software, the best may be that im paying a little money for year (600 U$S) for changes, i send a mail to the programmers and make the upgrade with new tools created (in a paper) for my self. In my business is really important be in touch with clients and oportunitties, and this programs make that easy

ACT 6.0 can be gotten on ebay for about $22 after shipping. It is a quality proven peice of software made for sales pro's. It has taken some fooling to figure out but it is slick. Especially when you figure out how to use the shortcuts and to sort though large amounts of contacts and use categories. You can easily customize it with special fields and the ability to take notes is very much nicer than outlook. It has some really nice follow up features and it also as allows you to setup up sequences of timed activities that come due... Also has some great mail merge capabilities.
Plus there are hundreds of third party apps that support it and integrate it including some great real estate marketing softwares and such. Also so really cool autodialer solutions. Overall there is nothing like it for the low price.

I use Outlook and sync my Windows Mobile phone with it. My schedule, reminders and contacts are with me everywhere I go!

I have been lucky lately, and have a large (for me) # of closings coming up. I just downloaded the trail addition of RealtyJuggler, and am really likeing it. It lets me schedule closings in the closing menu, and check them against my regular schedule right there on my phone, which is also a PDA, and therefore my entire life, just about.
I have never missed a closing in my carer, but I have come close once or twic. This program is a life-saver.

I started using this program a couple of weeks ago and this has been the best couple of weeks of my life since I became a realtor. REALTY JUGGLER DESKTOP is a fantastic real estate software product that has really made a diffference in the quality of my work performance. I used to spend a long time trying to organize myself and that took away from all of the time that I should have been focusing on my actual sales. Sicne I’ve started using this program, I’ve noticed exactly how much time I was wasting every day. Now I get to take that time and put it to good use, so I get a lot more done in the same amount of time. The best part is that I finish way more work with way less stress.
REALTY JUGGLER DESKTOP has been the answer to my prayers. Instead of wasting time making up separate lists of contacts, buyers, sellers, and prospects in Word like I used to do, I can keep everything all together in one spot. I also don’t have to keep files of my expenses and commissions in Excel like I used to, because there’s spots for those in this program, too. Now that I don’t have to jump around from program to program, being a real estate agent has become a lot more enjoyable. If your looking for a way to make your work day shorter while making your productivity higher, I suggest that you sign up for a subscription right away.

With that overly glowing review and the use of all caps for the product name, nobody would EVER think that you had any affiliation with the company that sells this product!

Back on topic...
I think what AgentBauer is looking for is a software program that will capture listing information from the MLS before it actually expires. I wish that I could find some software like that too! Just imagine, all of a sudden you get an alert that tells you a listing will probably expire tomorrow, the owner's phone number, etc. There is no way to actually know if a listing will expire in our MLS. The expiration date is always left blank unless you're logged in as the listing agent. The only thing you could do is estimate when the listing should expire, which is most commonly around 6 months after the start date here.
Anyone know of any capture software that might work like this?

Agent 007
Looking for the same thing. I doubt we will find anything like it though.
Even if there was, how compatible would it be with all the various mls systems with logging on, extracting the info, etc. So I gave up.
However, for CRM, TOP Producer 7i all the way for agents. For non agents ACT 7.0 I like a lot. Like with any CRM, i also use and sync with outlook. I have 18 emails and boy would I be lost without outlook 2007!
For syncing, Top Producer will be releasing a windows moble and blackberry version soon.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
