Anyone have any experience with this blogging system? I haven't seen any with the kind of functionality this one has for community postings. Is it reliable? I'd like to know before I spend money on upgrading the design. Thanks.

I am unfamiliar with realtyblogger. What type of "functionality" are you looking for in a blog? A blog is just a site where the author posts messages and readers can comment on the posts if allowed by the author. You might want to try Blogger.com, which is a great blogging site and it is free.

I use a program called WordPress, which is also free. You can see the results on my website. I like it becuase it can be totally integrated into the look and feel of my site.

THe interface is easy to use, and my favorite feature is the "future dating" of entries, so if I get a rush of inspiration I can write a few entries and then space them out so it looks like I publish something every day or so...

Their website is www.wordpress.com and if you're not familiar with website programming and integration, you may need a programmer, but I think it's worth it.

Go with www.wordpress.com or www.blogger.com. Both have good support forums, themes, and more. Be sure that whatever you choose it includes a free rss/xml feed.

I went on wordpress.com and blogger.com, but I don't see a community calendar or community discussions feature. Is there a blogging platform besides realtyblogger.com that is designed around community discussions and a community calendar? Thanks so much.

Before spending money, check your website hosting account to see if their was any free ad ons that havent been added on yet. If not, you can get the free ones mentioned. My hosting account provides a bunch of free stuff such as blogs.

I think the future, for someone who farms an area like I do, lies in community blogs, so I'm placing my stake there. I've done the research and have decided to go with realtyblogging.com despite the cost. Thank you everyone for your advice. I'll check back in in a few months and let you know how well it worked for me.
