Can anyone help with this ... I want to copy a web page / save it / resize it and use it as an image in another web page - make a graphic link ??
Is that possible without too much work ???
Thanks

Thanks for the reply ... sorry I wasn't clearer.. the sites I want capture are my own.
I've seen web developer sites where they'll have a thumbnail of sites they've created act as links to those sites.
I thought it might be neat to try that -
Cheers

I see. There are programs that do just what you want. Some are paid, but some are free. You can do a Google for "screen capture" to find software. There is a free program at http://www.mirekw.com/winfreeware/mwsnap.html that you can try. I haven't used it, but it sounds like it will do what you want.

Thanks Benjamin
I posted this question on several forums ... the following was a reply I received .. works great.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Hit Ctrl and PrintScrn on your keyboard - this will capture your screen onto clipboard 2. Open Photoshop or any image editor you use 3. Hit Ctrl + N (File>New) for new image 4. Ctrl + V (paste) 5. Resize, crop, and edit the image 6. Save - done
Cheers . Dave
Here is a tool I have found useful for clipping just the portions of the web page you would like to keep. You can save it, print it, email it ,or blog it. And best of all it is FREE. http://www.clipmarks.com______________________ Deborah Dade-Realtor Paramount Realty Montclair, Ca 91763 http://debbedade.point2agent.com
I've been using Screenshot Captor for the last couple of years. It's free and is great especially if you find yourself needing a lot of screenshots and resizing and editing. You can find it at http://www.donationcoder.com/
I like Fastone Capture http://www.faststone.org/FSCaptureDetail.htmIt works great to capture web pages. I have used it in my laptop listing presentations (Power Point) and also printed literature for listings, buyers, fsbo's etc. Fastone also has a free photo program that I use to resize, etc. It is easier to use than Photoshop. It also doesn't take up near as amount of room as Photoshop.
I already have Paint Shop Pro (a less expensive version of photoshop and just as good) and I use it on a daily basis - I don't know how I could survive without it. I do screen captures all the time. Whatever works!  I love diversity!
This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
