Are you talking about to leave a message or your recorded message when they call you? Mine is short, sweet and to the point. "This is Ben with Century 21, Mike Miller Realty. I am away from my phone, please leave me a message and I will return your call shortly." Don't make them too long because you still have the computer that will come on and say "If you want to leave a message, press one or just speak after the tone. If you want to leave a numeric page, press 2 now."
