I'm kind of backwards with my blogs. LOL.
I have a regular real estate blog on wordpress.com and it has its own URL.
I also just started a wordpress.org blog on my regular website, found here:
http://www.wallenpaupacklakeproperty.com/blogThis is
not going to be a real estate blog, per se, except with subtle references. It is going to be a photo blog of local content...sights, restaurants, businesses, wildlife, events, etc.
I want to encourage community involvement - people contributing their own pictures, etc. Hopefully to build up traffic and possibly end up on my real estate blog or website.
I figured the local content would be a good thing.
My question is - should I have just put this on a different server, instead of as a directory on my current server? What if I buy a domain name and point it here? Will that be helpful, or not helpful at all?
I don't want to use wordpress.com because it's limited in what I can put in the blog (embedding flash/videos etc.) Should I pony up and buy hosting space and just host the wordpress.org version on its own place? Or will a domain pointing to the directory do just as well?
