Hi

I live in NYC and have considered possible going to get my Real Estate License but am not 100% sure. Does anyone know of any free Real Estate websites that i could get some basic info and maybe even a free prep test just to sort of get an idea what I would be in for should I decide to go through with this. Any free site will work but if you know of one that would be more geared towards NY and specifically NYC that would be great!!

I just started a few days ago with my pre-license course through Real Estate Express, for NY, [url=http://www.realestateexpress.com/prelicense/NY/prelicense_info.asp][/url]

I like the course so far, but maybe if someone has used this for pre-licensing, specifically for the states of AL and NY, I think that they could give us a better idea of how the course helped with the state exam and also with preparing them for their career in Real Estate. Also, the silver package comes with the Exam Prep Master and a guarantee that you will pass the state exam if you follow their directions.

I chose the Diamond package for the state of AL at the above link, but for NY the Silver package is available and comes with everything, basically, that my package came with, minus the 30 post-license course which may not be necessary in your state? As this is all new to me, a Realtor or someone more knowledgeable on Real Estate licensing in NY will hopefully chime in with more information.

Ask around and find out who has the highest pass / fail ratio in your area. Typically this company has the best prep and study guides which will be the key to passing the state exam in your area.
