I am a listing agent in the San Francisco bay area stuck with a whole house of reasonably valuable property. It is 5 days into the 15 day period after lockout, and the occupant doesn't want to arrange to get her things, because she thinks she will get her house back.

I need to start figuring out how to handle this if I am left with an auction situation. Ocwen is keeping the property at the house until the 15 days are up.

Anyone know if there are companies that handle the packing and auction?

Don't your Foreclosure Documents (Notice of Default, Breach Letter, Complaint, Judgement Order) all warn the Owner of Record that any Personal Property left on/in the premises will be considered abandoned ? Hope Springs Eternal !

The NAR's website has listings for auctioneers that are recognized by the NAR, just do a search on their site. What we have seen happen in this situation is an auction that takes place at the property. The auctioneer is given access to the property in advance and then they advertise and schedule the auction - we have seen the scheduling process drag on for a couple of months or a couple of weeks, I guess it depends on how busy they are at the time. I imagine having the auction company inventory, pack and store everything would be substantially more expensive than having the property pres vendor consolidate into a single room (garage) at the property.
