I think your best bet would be to talk to an attorney. They would likely know the entire process. I've only experienced the portion of the foreclosure process that happens during a short sale, and when a foreclosed property becomes listed...nothing in between.

You will have to look up foreclosure laws for your state. Every state differs.

for general information, just Google "foreclosure laws [your state]" and you'll get tons of information as a starting point

you will probably get some hits to law firms which have generic descriptions of the foreclosure process in your state

if you have a serious legal issue, you will need to consult with a real estate attorney where you are located
