This should be an easy one.
Recently, I upgraded 2 computers from office 97 to 2003. Before, the default was set to prompt us if we wanted to save before exiting.

Now it doesn't.

How do I tell WORD to prompt me to save before leaving a document or closing out of word?

Are you saving as you go? If the current document hasn't been updated since the last save, the prompt won't appear, because nothing is new to save.

Im not sure if that is an actual setting that can be changed.

Thanks for the post, Yes I am saving (as I remember) but there are times that I have not saved and exited and it did not remind me. This is happening on 2 machines in the office. I contacted CAR's help desk and they couldn't figure it out either.

It worked before in Office 97 and not in 2003. I just had a thought! Maybe I'll uninstall it and try a fresh install (all typical) and see what happens. I'll post if it was successful
