Hello,
Anyone ever used this? I scoured the forum history and couldn't find anything conclusive. It appears to be an asset management portal. I just received an assignment on there and I've never signed up... I can't log in because I don't know my password. This ever happen to anyone else?

Thanks

A current listing of mine has just been switched from Dispo to the DepotPoint portal. It is a Nations listing.

Keene: I assume that you got logged in. How is the assignment going now? I agree that the platform seems to have limitations. There is no messaging feature, for instance, and I am having a difficult time determining which items in the long list are tasks and which are just part of the doc list.

Hey lizl, yeah I have been tinkering with it and am figuring it out. There is a messaging feature. If you go down to the bottom of the screen on the specified asset there is a section that says "Comments" You pick a recipient and select public or private. I have sent and received messages that way. As for your tasks, look at the right side of the screen at the "Chronology", this is your task list. At the bottom of the tab, click the Edit button and this will bring you to the pending tasks list.

This system is not anywhere as user friendly or capable as some of the others. I prefer dispo (their previously preferred platform). The company using the portal is a good client of mine and I have done a good amount of business with them so I intend on mastering the DepotPoint platform. I talked with a few AMs about it and they got tired of the dependance on the faxes to clear document tasks and would prefer to upload. I had talked with Dispo numerous times about it because I would always upload the necessary docs but it wouldnt clear the task so I would have to call to have the task removed. They said they dont have any immediate plans to switch to upload dependent tasks... too bad because that costed them a client.

Agree Keene. The one I got on depotpoint is an NREO property. My AM called me the other day and we learned the expenses feature together smile

I like the platform. It is very basic and user friendly. I disagree about dispo. Their platform was not as user friendly as some may think.

But it all depends on what some people like. Anyways. depot point seems easy to me.

Keene: I just got fired by my AM on depotpoint.com because I didn't agree with their listing agreement being ambiguous about a Variable Commission rate.

I don't know what your local MLS rules are, but mine don't allow me to have a listing that I don't know what the Variable Commission is. I acctually think that this violates some sort of NAR code of ethics (I think it is Article 3 of the NAR code of ethics).

So I explained to my AM that I need to know what the variable commission is and that I can't sign their Listing Agreement the way it is, that their pragraph either needs to be erased or corrected to disclose the variable commission rate.

He said "You either sign the listing agreement the way it is or we will reassign the listing". This is a Nations REO ( NREO property ) and is owned by Vericrest Financial (actually Bank of New York Mellon c/o CIT Mortgage). I gave my AM the local MLS rules and pointed out where I would be in violation of not knowing that variable commission rate. He obviously didn't care about it and reassigned.

I can't wait for that agent who's going to have this property to list this on the MLS and police the listing. That new agent will have to take this off the MLS and may beimposed a fine.

NREO really screwed up on this one !!

Depotpoint has a $99 fee. Not really sure that its worth it hearing some of these stories. I list for Vericrest through Equator and I can tell you that they are VERY< VERY confused about everything all of the time. Tough to get through a deal.
