I currently use Point 2 Agent- I wanted to see what else is out there. What are you using? what is the cost?, features? etc.

I've actually been thinking of switching to point 2 agent. I currently use rapidlistings.com. I like the blog and the drip e-mailing that point 2 agent has. How good is the SEO?

Hello! I've just started the trial period for netreal.net and it seems OK. I previously used point2agent, but I'm considering changing the website provider. What do you think about Netreal, did you use it?

These type of sites in general will do a good job. The import thing is how well you promote the site, not the site features. Every feature in the world will not help if you don't spend the time and do the SEO work yourself.

My board offers a gateway for less then $15 a month. I frame in my IDX feed on my website that I built and maintain with a very popular CMS.

I highly recommend Doug Towes sites, he is the owner of this very forum. I have been using his sites since 2003 and they work. I believe you can find them at: http://www.rncinternet.com/

I would also recommend you check out my site at: http://busyagentpro.com which includes sites, contact management, coaching, blogs, etc.

The key with both of these resources is they only allow one agent per market so you don't have to worry about your competition using the same tools like you do if you use tools like Point2, Advanced Access, ActiveRain, etc, etc.

Hope that helps:)

Check out eBrokerHouse www.ebrokerhouse.com for managing your business. Its an online office to manage your listings, buyers, documents, team members, offers, tasks, etc. Very affordable at $29.99/month.

I hear they are working on the marketing/lead generation side of the site so that agents will be able to market the properties they manage within the site.

The more important issue than what provider to use is: UNIQUE content. There are several providers out there who will give you an impressive site with all kinds of articles and special reports and all that. It might be impressive to a website visitor if they ever find the site.

Unfortunately these sites do not do as well in the eyes of a search engine as the ones where you just develop original material. So if you use one of these, make sure you work on making the content original, even if it takes a while.

The second factor is whether the provider gives you a good head start on search engine optimization. Maybe users can chime in on their own experiences with search engine results. Content is part of the game, but those who really know what they are doing seem to have an advantage when it comes to search results.

There are some mortgage brokers willing to provide internet listings for realtors that are broadcast to various websites like Craigslist, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others. Each listing gets it's own "mini-website" with live links.

This would be considered co-advertising but the service is pretty much free to use for realtors and is a powerful tool.

I am speaking from a Texas stanpoint, but one I am familiar with is: http://www.marketingtexasproperties.com/

bpa? Do you mean bap? If so then yes I use it. I like it. The BAP blog seems to do fantastic with SEO. One of the best features about it is that you can create lead capture pages, other websites, property websites for no additional cost. Just the cost of a domain. But if you are in an market area where there already is an agent signed up with them then tough luck you won't get it. Additionally you aren't supposed to create websites, lead capture pages, or do blogging in a market area that you haven't signed up for. Also they provide 30 kinda generic blog content for you to post. So if you don't feel like coming up with a topic you can push a button and have some content. More recently they they have started a video service that can create videos out of your blogs or whatever you want to do. It even includes voice overs (computer generated that I don't quite like).

Google Custom Forum Search

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
