I have a Dell Axim X5 handheld and am wanting to add the Pocket Real Estate software. My local MLS provider works with Pocket Real Estate. I am looking for a "deal" (sounds like my clients...) Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it possible I could find someone on this forum who has the software for sale? I have been looking on Ebay BTW.

I am in Jonesboro AR, and our local MLS provides a "lease" of pocket realestate for $50. Then if you go inactive you just return the software and you are supposed to get the $50 back upon return.

You might try your state association, for a deal. Here, our ED director brought the buying power together by establishing a resource for members of the Kansas Association of Realtors to purchase this and other tech stuff. I believe it was a few dollars less for me saving more than shipping expense, but regardless...the product & company support is good. I wish there was an upgrade from previous purchase of the program to the Win Mobile OS.

I use a classic Sony Clie' with 5.x Palm OS and wish to have this on my new forthcoming MS Win mobile device purchase. Here in Oz, Toto and me cannot get used to the HI time zone, for tech support though, so we play tag on the phone. I find ther email support takes care of it after my looking at the FAQ tickets and not understanding it the 1st or 2nd time.

If the programmers would keep the MLS Data on an external SD card, rather then internal memory of the PDA/smartphone device, I could be happier with their software. Once I get loaded up with this program and MLS data with just standard Palm OS stuff, the operation gets slow anyway.

But in all fairness to PocketRE...I could not dump all the Sony imbedded extra software (Pixelviewer). I hope this time around in rebuilding the Sony brand, they rethink their software...like don't add it. Their hardware execution is unmatched by the japanese marketing of including software programs more acceptable in Japan on US versions of product. Their new, American CEO has his work cut out for him... after watching CBS 60 Minutes.

I can't imagine it getting any slower with external data cards. This and next year will bring more tech changes with mobile broadband so maybe they still won't do it. It does help me on site at showings, when the laptop is in the car or I don't want to open the laptop.
