Okay I've used the search engine extensively and I can't see anywhere that tells how much to rake leaves, I have a reo that has atleast 30 bags of leaves I'm going to have to rake up and haul off, any idea on pricing on this, can't find that info anywhere? or do you normally mow over them to mulch em..? thanks

Usually there's only that many leaves on an initial grass cut, that's one of the reasons you get more dough for the initial. I've had AM's just tell me to mulch them up, but 30 bags of leaves sounds excessive to do that. Maybe just rake them up in the front yard and mulch them in the back. Hopefully you have a mower with a bagger.

As far as the pricing goes, just try and figure how much time it is taking and charge accordingly. 30 bags is some serious leaves, what are they, 50+ pounds a piece?

50 pounds for a bag of leaves sounds pretty heavy, other than weight also consider:

Can you dispose of them for free as green waste at your landfill (saving the bags to reuse if possible)? Find a multiplier for your time, what is your target hourly rate? How many bags can you reasonably do in an hour (mulch if you can, less energy spent). There is not likely going to be a set rate for leaf raking - it is going to vary according to the market and situation. It is just part of the learning curve sometimes to throw a number out there and see if it flies, just try to come by the number realistically and with the big picture in mind of the other services being done.

I know in the past when I was curious as to what one would charge for certain services. I would remember the times I had various vendors give bids for intial cuts, trims, and bi-weekly yard work and guestimate from that. If possible use your home service to help cut down on the leaves. Some places they will pick up to 10-15 bads bi-weekly of your green waste. Good luck!!!

What I have done in the past is go over the leaves with a mulching mower blade w/ pluged chute. I keep going over them, then blow as much to the side.

It makes for good before and after pictures and it beats raking. I hate leaves.
