Are there any members who use any 3rd party Microsoft Outlook Addons and find them valuable in their business.

I am using one addon program, Osasync by vaita.com, which has done a great job at syncing my outlook files between two computers.

Would like to know what others are using.

I have a great one that remembers to backup my PST file for me. You can find it here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...&displaylang=en

It's free!

Have fun...

I stay as far away from Outlook as I can. I take it off all themachines in my office - nor do i use IE - they are the most common ways to gunk up your box with viruses and trojans and whatnot.

Netscape is a great alternative.

Sorry to hear of the problems you had with viruses. I have used Outlook and IE since their conception and have never had any major issues with viruses. It is of my opinion that any program is at risk of intrusion, but can be managed by common sense and good software protection.

I too used to use outlook a lot, but after going gmail, openoffice, and firefox i no longer use it and never plan on it again also.

I have a dual bot with mandrake 10 (linux)
i have ran linux for 3 years with no software and not once had a single adware or virus.

This post was a duplicate post. Someone else asked the same question.

I am leaving it but want to remind everyone to search first then add to the existing topics. When you post it will be moved back to the top so people can answer your question.

Plaxo is pretty handy and free, it will sync contacts, tasks, calendar, and notes with your Outlook and for free. Can be really handy! www.plaxo.com

I used Plaxo up until just recently, and here is the only reason I switched. A few months ago, my office bought into and is using www.intranets.com and everyone in the office has an account. When I first looked it over I just kind of put it on the backburner, it seemed cool, it has the offices calendar of things going on, etc, but I was already using Plaxo and didn't figure I needed it.

Well, the other day I dug a little deeper, and it will allow you to save documents online, I can add things to the calendar and no one else can see my "personally added" items, and it makes it where I don't have to try and update my personal calendar manually with things going on around the office, and it also has contact management, a task feature that will email you your daily tasks at the start of the day that you have planned, and this all syncs with your Outlook. Since it has more functionality than Plaxo, and has all the calendar entries from our office manager on the things (classes, events, meetings) going on in the office it just made sense. It isn't free, but if your office is looking for something, it might be worth a look.

www.intranets.com

The cool part about the file saving is that you can create a connection/folder on your computer, let's say your desktop, and just double-click into it like a normal folder, drop some files in it and then when you go to the office they will be right there on that desktop, pretty handy and even easier than having to carry around an USB key.
