If you are still running Windows ME on your computer - known as "Windows Multiple Errors" for a good reason - here is something that you will find lowers your frustration level!

I used to have to reboot my computer due to lock ups upwards of a dozen times a day - now I never have to reboot. What did I do? I downloaded the free FireFox browser from Mozilla and stopped using Explorer and also from Mozilla I started using the free Thunderbird email client instead of Outlook. As an added benefit both programs happen to be superior to their Microsoft rivals for my needs and are far more secure as well.

Occasionally as a test I will fire up Outlook or Explorer again and then I am back to rebooting again in no time.

I wish my corporate did away with Microsoft as I do exactly the same on my home pc.


And.... here is an opinion I have and let me know what you think.

Mozilla (Firefox) is newer and less used = less hackers target it. It may not be that Mozilla has better technology to fight attacks it may just feel more secure because it is not targeted. However, Explorer may be more secure overall but because of its popularity its security is exposed more quickly.

But, the fact still remains that Mozilla's products seem to have less problems with pop up's, spam, ad ware and spy ware. So I use it.
