What is involved in getting a street named what you want? I see some street names with peoples last names that live there??

Don't know, but, I believe in Virginia, every freaking little street, road, whatever had to have a name for fire and rescue to locate homes/people.

It's pretty common to see streets named after the wives and kids of the guy who developed a particular area. Or also, sometimes they're named after a prominent family who owned a big farm in the area. But mostly, our rural roads just have numbers now. Boooorrrrring!
