Now look, before I get all mushy and sentimental-feeling for the plight of these foreclosed-upon people, somebody tell me what all the hundreds of thousands of us who faithfully pay our mortgages every month, and have done so for years!, are going to get out of all this hoopla? Heh, re-work my notes (and I have my house, a HELOC, and mortgages on some investment properties), give me some reduced interest rates (and I have low fixed-loan rates now, but I'd be happy to have a couple percent knocked down on the interest!). . . and I'll be happy to continue every month, just like I always have.

Yeh, guess I'm not feeling too sympathetic for most of these foreclosed-on folks, and I'm not about to jump on a silly political bandwagon with these politicians who are advocating a "revolution" and basic civil disobedience.

The representative's case to stay seems to be strongly based on the quality of legal representation the home buyer had; both at purchase and when the notice of default was issued. Since this is a judgement call it may be difficult to make it stick.

This doesn't make much sense and seems to me just a publicity stunt by a little know Congressman. They are media hogs at times!
