This looks like the story I posted a couple of days ago. It involved the same woman, located in Altadena.
I feel really bad for your friend but why didn't she visit these properties before she invested in them? Was this an out of state scam of some sort?
Doubling one's investment is always appealing but, it's like the old saying, "If it sounds too good to be true, it generally is".
It would make me sick to lose that much money. I hardly ever gamble, even in Laughlin or Las Vegas, because every time I put money in a slot, I think about what it took to make it.
