This is a case I was following since I know a senior who was defrauded by this individual. When the senior asked me to research the properties she had a stake in by lending the $$ amount of the back payments to defaulting homeowners while giving them time to sell or refinance the property, I found out that none of the properties existed. All the addresses were bogus, and all paperwork and related information were fabricated, therefore, there would be no recorded trust deed for the senior's investment security.

The firm and its owner told the senior that as soon as the property is sold or refinanced, the senior investor would double the investment. Ponzi does not even begin to describe the deceit. I am posting a link below.

This looks like the story I posted a couple of days ago. It involved the same woman, located in Altadena.

I feel really bad for your friend but why didn't she visit these properties before she invested in them? Was this an out of state scam of some sort?

Doubling one's investment is always appealing but, it's like the old saying, "If it sounds too good to be true, it generally is".

It would make me sick to lose that much money. I hardly ever gamble, even in Laughlin or Las Vegas, because every time I put money in a slot, I think about what it took to make it.

This is the person located in Altadena. She was preying on the elderly according to the trial.

The senior I know really did not believe me when I said that it was all a scam and that all the properties on the list of where the investments went were non existent. The documents had not only bogus addresses but also fabricated parcel numbers.

There is a victim's forum on this woman and her company with a photo of her being interviewed and she appears quite young to have the guts to defraud.
