I'm the owner of a 5000 sq ft. home built by KB. Would I have problems selling it, say if I held onto it for ten years? I happen to love my house and will probably ride the mortgage out (it's our second), but I just want this question answered. It seems as if on the corporate hate site that people couldn't sell their KB homes, but I think it's because at lower square footages, they are found everywhere. This particular house is the largest in Central TX short of custom and is only found in select areas...from what KB told me, they put them in areas that they feel can support the higher price range. Mine was in the mid 200s due to the fact that this neighborhood doesn't have a golf course, but this neighborhood has the advantage of being surrounded by homes that cost upwards of a half mil.
Even if selling would be an issue, I wouldn't probably mind being 'stuck' with a home this big.
