I don't, it happens. I get them and I lose them, it's all part of REO. Some I would be more than happy to lose and have someone take care of the headache.

But I am learning more & more how to separate myself in this business. So many of my clients are like robots & you just have to get over there lack of personality/caring or it will drive you nuts...

I don't take is personal, but it does [censored] me off. I just had 1 reassigned after having it 8 months and under contract 4 times. It fell apart each time because of mortgages (cash deal would have been nice)

have not had one reassigned yet, but i have one that i think its coming....

I lost my 1st one recently... bad location... bad AM... begging to reduce the price constantly, finally a desperate buyer made an offer and couldn't produce the loan.

was sort of pissy... but I quickly got over it... ohh yea and the next agent stole my combo code lockbox!!

AT first I took it personally, but not anymore! At least for the ones wherein the listing period has expired.

Now I do get pissed when they just reassign arbitrarily after I spent money marketing and the listing has not expired.

What goes around usually comes around. I've lost some - and picked some up.

I do feel bad when the bank reassigns one to me - drops the price $10,000 and then I sell in less than a week though. That has to make the other agent pretty upset! After they did their best for four months. ...But I've been there too, its a bummer when you are producing offers, but the people aren't able to make the deal stick - and then you lose the listing. All that hard work down the drain.

In the past year, I've lost two and picked up two with the same broker on the other end.

Luckily we're friends so it's no big deal. And all four were the same company and all four were problem properties.

S_ _ _ happens. I have had some reassigned that I was not very happy about (and in a few cases have said I will not accept new assignments from the offending company again). In other cases they were problem properties the loss of which is really a favor.

On the overall scale I will also admit that I have benefited from receiving some that were reassigned from others; probably all balances out in the end.

Some I'm glad to see go....others really [censored] me off after I do all of the prep work ....Especially when the other agent lets the property go down and it sells for lower than offers received early on...

if that ever happened to me, i also would take it personally and likely obsess over it for a day and a half or more - seriously

That just happened with me. I got the bank to lower and the offers coming in are lower than ones they could have taken 3 weeks ago. But that isn't my fault. Those buyers were gone when rejected, and even the old broker told them to lower.

For me, it depends on the property.

Sometimes, I have an absolute hissy fit and throw a temper tantrum that would put a spoiled 3 year old to shame. Then about 2 minutes in I realize I'm acting a fool, and it's not the end of the world, there are plenty of other properties out there for me to list. It just wasn't meant to be.

Other times, I do a little happy dance because it was a heap of junk and I never really wanted to waste my time with it anyway
