Has anyone been frustrated with boss when you can't get any answers from him?
I'm currently working for a guy who can't seem to give out satisfying answers. after my initial training, he doesn't provide enough coaching or training for me to get the job done.
It seems like he wants me to do everything on my own.

Is this a pretty much the case with every mentor or trainer? Or Is this a insecure thing?

Can anyone tell me why some bosses, mentor, or trainer don't give out all the information?

any feedback would be appreciated. thanks

Most real estate agents don't "work" for a "boss". We tend to be associated with a broker because we are self employed independent contractors.

It sounds like you need to start looking for another company. This time interview them so you can find one that will offer you the support you need to become a success.

Sounds like you both have a miscommunication on the LEVEL of mentoring involved. The mentor probably doesn't want to hold your hand everyday but when you have a deal show you the ropes.

You should probably sit down and discuss the issue with your boss and let him know ho YOU FEEL. Key is not to say YOU DON'T or place any blame. Then s/he can either adjust or you can decide that you need to go somewhere else.

A big part of being a business owner is finding answers for yourself as well. You can do things like ask some of your co-workers for pointers. Everyone was a new agent once and experienced agents likely will help you. If that doesn't work, call your closer/title company and ask them for some advice. Most have been in the business for a long time and may be able to help with your issues. You can also ask in forums like this.

I think you need to bring the issue up, but also, get proactive in solving the problems and discovering resources that can help you. You'll learn a lot that way and also get different opinions on issues so that you can decide how you want to handle given situations.

All the best,
Joe
