Please pass the word about this new forum (REO Property Preservation). We should have many things to discuss, how the industry is changing, E&O Insurance providers, difficulties within this industry, etc...

jada521, if your looking for a property preservation company to assist you in an REO listing, try www.reonetwork.com. If your looking to start a business, please confirm your looking for startup information.

REO Network.. $18,000.00 for advertising is a little rediculous.

If you are only in one state and under one category it's only $300.

Jada:

I am not even close to an expert or even knowledgeable but I am going through the same process. You might want to visit www.cubicyard.us

Its a great web site with tons of information.

In the questions and answer section it talk about sources/leads.

To answer your questions here, I would say there are a couple "regular" targets.

1. Local Banks/Credit Unions or other lenders
2. Brokers/Investors
3. Bigger PP companies in your area
4. The NATIONALS....many threads about them in here
5. REO Agents

Hello Everyone!
First timer here – so please be gentle!

I’ve been in the industry for about 9 years. I sell in Idaho and have had a difficult time “getting my foot in the door” for acquiring REO’s. It’s been well over a year since I started submitting resumes. I have been able to complete BPO’s, but have not had the luxury of landing anything “big”. I know they are out there….any suggestions on how to find that in?

Not sure how many BPO’s you have done but I complete about 800 per year and get 30+50 listings a year. It takes me a lot of BPO’s just to get an REO.

Greetings from Houston, Texas. I am new to this site and wanted to introduce myself and offer my services. My name is Ernest Lawson and I have been in the Property Preservation business for over 4 years. I am currently seeking Realtors or Brokers in the Houston or surrounding areas that are in need of REO, BPO, or PPO work. I would like to service only 2-3 clients and be able to provide top notch quality service. I live South of Sugarland and service a very large area. Very dependable and references are available. Thanks! elawson71@gmail.com

Hi Alex,
I too am in MA. I am signed up with Pacific Preservation Services and they are very nice people to deal with, not a lot of work so far, but they have been very pleasant and responsive. I am also dealing with McCaffrey Properties and am ready to drop them. The rates they pay are not even covering my gas and supplies let alone making any money from labor, so I would say avoid them.
