Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong section, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a good list of article directories?

I have all the basic really good ones(ezinearticles, goarticles etc) on my list.. but I need some more. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Honestly, all I really post articles to are the big time article sites such as ezinearticles and goarticles. I used to post them to about 30 article directories, but noticed that the traffic was not worth the time in posting to other article directories. From what I have noticed, a lot of the article directories are just cookie-cutter sites; a lot of them are pretty much identical.

I use Isnare which auto-submits to many of the same places ezinearticles, goarticles do, PLUS many more.

What has been your experience with lead generation with article marketing?

It is not so much lead generation as it is links back to your website.

I'm in the process of starting a glorified article directory :

PS , Article directories suck unless you get on one with a good PR and can get yours somehow rotated on a high PR Page (Which is what I'm wanting to do with mine) You'd be better off getting a blog (Which is why my article website runs off of wordpress).

As previously stated, the primary purpose of posting articles is not really to generate leads (though it probably will), but more go establish one-way backlinks to help you from an SEO standpoint. With articles, the tradeoff is you give someone quality content and in return, you get a backlink with the anchor text of your choice. It's a win-win situation for everyone.
