Ok all, I have been elected to chair the community service committee this coming year, having never done this before I am calling on you all for any ideas you have or have done in the past for a profitable fundraiser.

In addition to doing many Avon (product sales) fundraisers, I have had experience with silent auctions and raffles as well. If you need any more info, PM me.

Do you have a Dunkin Donuts nearby? If so, ask the manager if they do coupon/certificate fundraisers. You sell coupons good for 1 dozen donuts. This gives you the benefit of the fundraiser but the customer gets to pick their donuts and pick them up at their convenience, you don't have to deliver them and they can choose their own favorites.

We have a couple restraunts (Red Lobster, Olive Garden, and another national chain) the have community service events. The Organization gets a % of the proceeds from the nights sales. The charity simply promotes the event and encourages people to go.

Last one I went to the group showed up and passed out alot of freebies (T-shirts, pencils, crap like that).
