We are having a problem in our area with getting our home sold in a equity golfing country club community. It's a beautiful area but alas most of the real estate companies up here are only parttime and dabble in real estate as a hobby. None of the agencies truly advertise nor are they affliated with a national MLS. We need to sell our home as our jobs are moving to another location of the state. The prime time for sale of homes in this area is Spring and if one doesn't capitalize on it then for the rest of the year you can probably forget even looking for buyers. Most of the agencies and their agents are not hungry enough and just sit and wait for someone to drive by their office on a Sunday afternoon. Should we contact a large national real estate firm in a metro area of our state and see what they can do for us? We definitely need our home advertised otherwise no one knows we are here nor do they know where we are located. Also as this is a small community in the Blue Ridge mountains, it's very political among the agents. Gossip runs through the community like wildfire and if one bad word is spoken or if a particular agent doesn't like a seller then they won't show the home because of the politics.
I am at a loss as to handle this and need some thoughts and feedback.
Thank you
