City Hall sent her a violation letter basically stating that according to photos they obtained from Google Earth, she has an unpermitted patio on her property. (Big Brother is Watching via Google Earth).

Being the fighter she is, she ended up in court unrepresented against two city attorneys and code violation tough guys.

She successfully argued that the building records for the city were not maintained by the city before they incorporated, but were maintained by the county. Since the property records were under the jurisdiction of the county before the city was incorporated, the patio issues would have to be grandfathered back to the county since the patio existed at that time.

The judge ruled in her favor.

They see everything.


I am so glad to hear they were able to get past that violation. The little guy needs to win every now and then expecially now when times are tough.
