The issue is that many of these people have no idea WHY they are voting for that party. I definitely think it is extremely ignorant and it will hurt our government.

Exactly. My point wasn't to find out who people were voting for but instead - do you KNOW who you are voting for....

This certainly has been an interesting race, but I am going to be SO glad when it's over. I'm sick of Joe the Plumber, I'm sick of wardrobe purchases, I'm sick of politicians coming to my area just because they think they can "woo" us with some visits during the campaign. Do these guys come back when they're elected???

Well, the clinton's did when Hillary's dad died...because they had a summer home here. WTH?

We (hubby and I) both voted for Bob Barr. Im glad to see were not the only ones here in this "2 party system"!

We were big Ron Paul fans, and I was the local precinct leader back in the primary days. Since he withdrew from the race, I wanted to vote my conscious, even if it meant 3rd party. Barr lined up very well with my beliefs/issues of concern. I also voted locally for 2 Reps, 1 Indep and 1 right to lifer.

Side note: I voted Bush in the past, ie: lesser of 2 evils. I didn't want that this time. I think Barack will win, but don't agree with him at all on many issues. McCain was a consideration for me, but I don't think he has a handle on the economy- a huge issue for us in the RE industry.

Well the CNN results are in with a decisive majority for Obama. It doesn't matter with you agree or diagree with that choice, our system of choosing will give us a chance to either ratify for a second term or replace the choice in another 4 years.

I was a Ron Paul supporter too. McCain really was the worst choice of all of the republicans - unless of course, you're looking at it from a Dem point of view. LOL

The worst part for me now is listining to my kids and husband complain about Obama. Hubby is now saying the country is going to fall apart, America as we know it is dead, blah blah blah. He would have said that if Hillary won too - he really doesn't like democrats.

Me - well, even though I was an ardent Bush supporter both elections, and while he was in office I thought Bill Clinton was the creepiest of the creeps, I realize that Mr. Clinton wasn't really all that bad of a Pres. after all. I'm willing to give Mr. Obama that benefit - I just don't trust him. I really don't - I never questioned Bill Clinton's patriotism like I do Obama's.

I'd feel much better if we could get old Slick Willie back in the Oval Office. hee hee

I am still wondering if the Supreme Court will still have a say in the elections. December 1 is not that far away.

Why? Is there something under debate? I figured that the vote was clear enough - even if one state is contested, Obama still has a way significant lead over McCain.

It is because the sitting Supremee who dismissed the Berg lawsuit still set a December 1 date for the candidate elect to answer the allegation of Certificate of Live Birth:

Yeh, I am a die-hard Republican. Big Bush supporter, though my father hates Bush so much he can only spit out the name. I'm not happy with the election results for Pres-VP, but all the other candidates I supported were re-elected. I don't think the country will fall apart overnight . . . and, God willing, won't fall apart at all (or at least not much). We survived Jimmy Carter, and two terms of Bill Clinton so I have hope that we will survive B.O.

Not entirely happy Obama won, since I am a Republican, but it is what it is and I wish him the best for our country.

One thing is certain though, all Americans should be glad that John McCain will remain on the Senate and hopefully continue to play a huge role in getting our country back on track and keep us safe.

OMG Jimmy Carter! ROLFLOL!!!

To be fair to Bill Clinton, apart from his moral compass being way off and out of whack, he wasn't a bad President. I didn't like him at the time, but years have mellowed me somewhat and I can look back and say "Damn, I wish he could run again." Plus, he was by far the most entertaining Pres we had...hee hee.

No, I'm not happy but I also realize that Obama is just a man. He is not going to be as terrific as his supporters think, and he's not going to be as horrible as his enemies warn. He is going to screw up and he is going to do some things right and he is our President, and he deserves our respect... and prayers if you are a praying person....
