What should I do ?

You'll (probably) be just fine as long as you don't wait until you are inundated with Salt Water. Then nothing can help you ! Good Luck !

Water damage from inside the home, such as broken water pipes, is a standard coverage in home insurance policies. However, damage sustained from outside sources, such as river close to your home overflowing its banks, is not part of a standard home insurance quote.

Yes, you have to be covered by an additional flood insurance if you want to be covered. Otherwise everything is out of pocket

Hi,
Generally, insurance policies do not cover damages due to flood but they would pay for damage from rain coming through a hole in the roof or a broken window if the hole was caused by strong storm winds.
On the other hand, if you have a hidden pipe leaking in your house and water damage occurs, then that would not be covered.
