I wanted to see if anyone has been using any e-flyer services and if so, how it was working out for you.

Thanks

Britt

I use the flyer that realestateshows.com generates along with the virtual tour. It's handy. They occasionally show up in google searches, if I'm careful about SEO keywords in the title of the show and the text description.

Can't say that I've gotten any direct sales from it but I have gotten inquiries from them. They are one more tool. I use links to them in emails, on CraigsList, my blog, and my website. I see it as more of a time saver for me.

I get alot of email flyers everyday, many from the same realtors listing different properties.

I figure it's either working for them or they are just trying to show the seller they are doiing something to promote the property.

I rarely send e-flyers to other agents - unless it's for a very specific reason. They don't need the flyer, they have the MLS. Occasionally I'll send an mls blast/email - like with my listing that used to have a mean dog living there. I sent an mls blast yesterday with a link to the listing telling them that the dog is no longer at the house...

but as a rule, I do not send stuff to other agents like that.

They seem to be a very popular way of advertising in Florida. How about in PA? Do you find realtors using them alot?

Nope, not in my neck of the woods, though one office used to send out faxes of new listings every time they got a new listing...they'd send it to all the other offices in the area and most would end up right in the trash, after cursing about wasted toner LOL. Mostly what agents do is send out email blasts from the MLS to advertise a listing or open house.

most of us here just use the daily hotsheet on the MLS to keep track of what's new, reduced, expired, etc.

You should take a look at www.vflyer.com. They are the most professional looking and they provide the code for a great looking post to Craigslist. Here is a link to a flyer I did for a client http://dayna.vflyer.com/home/flyer/home/1955233 and here is the post on Craigslist http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/reb/882082841.html

Best of all is there is a free version.

Commercial real estate brokers in the greater Philadelphia market use email blasts all the time to market their new listings or new tenants they are representing. Constant Contact is a popular service to use.

As this is one of the main ways to advertise listings and tenants, and local brokers here have come to expect it, it seems to do pretty well.

I can imagine that if you have the e-flyer built in a format that can be index by crawlers it may help out with the SEO of your site. This may account for a few additional keywords that will bring visors to your site and your listings.

I get eflyer from other agents as well- I delete them right away.
When I have access to MLS I don't need to eflyer.

I don't use an e-flyer most of my contacts I have friended on facebook and so when I have a new listing I send it to them via the share button, it also adds a few links, when they share it.

Our MLS system makes a flyer to send out to agents if need be.

I do the exact same thing. I've never been too big of a fan of e-flyers and such...but then again, it is a numbers game and don't want to shoot it down for those who are currently using, or looking to use an e-flyer system. I think if it is created correctly and geared to interested people it would do just fine.

Agents send these flyers to me and I delete them - in agreement that we have the MLS for finding new listings every day.

If an agent were to send out a flyer on an "upcoming" listing that's going to be available in a week or two, well, that'd be better for sending b/c it's not in the MLS yet and someone may just have a buyer for that property.

Does anyone know of an e-flyer program or a template (that's probably the right word) that can be kept on your own computer and used to send to clients on our websites?

Agent eflyers seems to have a decent one but it is only sent to agents thru their site.

I'd like to have one that I can re-use and send to clients from my website - and I don't want to have to re-enter all the email addresses into someone else's site. I created one once but it wasn't very pretty, but it got the point across.

It's spam. I hate it. I report it.

I know how to use the MLS. Imagine if 10 percent of all agentzs in your MLS dod it?
