Ok, so I am kinda bored. Many of you saw my recent post about me deciding on purchasing a new vehicle. I am sure that some of us on here are interested to see what everyone else is driving around in this business.

I hope we can get everyone on the forum involved with this thread. It's very simple. Just tell us what you drive around for business, with or without clients. Then post a photo of your ride if you have one. I am interested to see the diversity. cool

It's not "important," just a chance for some fun conversation.

I'm driving a 2006 Honda Odyssey Van - ice blue. Unless my husband stole it and then I have to drive his gas guzzling 1997 GMC 3/4 Ton Pick Up With Tool Boxes and Squeaky Ladder Racks @ 9 MPG.

2006 Chrysler Pacifica in Magnesium Green, AWD. Used to drive a 2002 Chevy Avalanche 4WD, but at 16 MPG thought I could get better and traded it in on the Pacifica which gets me 20 MPG, not much of an improvement. Also, my husband liked my Avalanche so much, we had to buy him a 2500 version, it feels corny having matching vehicles. My husband is still annoyed with me for trading in my Avalanche, he thought it was cool having matching vehicles.

OK I admit it. I propbely could not even afford a leather seat for such a car, its not mine. I found the description on e-bay. Sorry I fooled eveybody.

I have a 2004 F150. It not very friendly on the gas budget either though but it does have leather seats. If only they were heated leather seats though.

As I promised Dayton; here's a "real" Snow Tire for your Ferrari. As of 11/1/08, it will be illegal to drive in Quebec without real Winter or "Snow" Tires from 11/1 thru 4/1. The Micro Grooves capture grit for Traction and the V Tread disperses water and partially melted snow (aka Slush) to prevent Hydro-Planing:

I just mounted these on my Volvo S-60 Sports Sedan (just like estatereal) and it goes in the snow. But NOT THIS MUCH SNOW (unless it's plowed first):

2006 Toyota Camry.I average about 25mpg everywhere I go (mostly city driving BPO's). When I went to buy a car my wife wanted a Ford Sport Trac. As we were sitting in the lobby waiting for the salesman I picked up a car magazine and was thumbing through it and found an article on fuel mileage. When I found out that the Sports Trac only got an average of about 16 mpg I told my wife that I did not want to have 2 cars that only got 16 mpg. She was not to happy, she really likes the looks of the Sports Trac. I guess it's not a good idea to have that magazine in your lobby. My other vehicle is a 2000 GMC 1/2 ton Z71 4x4.

My wife has heated seats. When I drive it I blast the AC and turn on the heated seats in the summer. It is fun though to turn the passanger seat on and see how long it takes them to notice.

Vermont- I don't think they sell those here in my area. Maybe up north in the Cleveland area, they get alot more snow than the south areas of Ohio. I live in Dayton, I lived in Columbus (which is the middle of the state) and Akron (North of the state) and never heard of such a thing.

Then again it looks like a tire to me. Perhaps I have them and do not even know it.

1997 Toyota Tercel when I am driving around looking at land. They don't make these little cars anymore but they are awesome.Mine has 246,742 miles on it with original engine and tranny.Still rides super smooth with no hiccups.

I don't like brand new cars as they do not know what the defects are yet,you get clobbered carrying full coverage insurance, the assett is actually a bad debt because of depreciation.

I don't look like I have money and I love it.I always tell my friends I am broke and they beleive me.:) I am part of the no moochers club!

Nope - I said I drive a 2006 Honda Odyssey Van and I WORSHIP THIS CAR.

I THINK I WILL ALWAYS OWN A HONDA. ALWAYS, AND FOREVER.

I love it so much, I'd marry it if I could, but I don't think that kind of marriage is legal in PA yet.

Now, with your last name I'd never have pegged you as a HONDA man!

I had TWO camaros when I was young. A plain jane white one, and then I graduated to a black Iroc Z-28 with t-tops and everything. OMG I miss that car. Now I'm too old and fat to have one.

Speaking of gas, I paid $2.99 for the first time in a LONG time yesterday!

This was two days after I paid $3.29 to fill up my husband's truck!!! ($100 to be exact. it stopped RIGHT on $100.00 even.)

Bwahahahaha! I don't know, Perky, I owned 3 Honda Odysseys between 1995 and summer of 2003 and I thought they were great, except the transmissions didn't hold up well, but I wouldn't go so far as to talk marriage.

Snazzy ride, REOSam!

Gas is down to $2.56 here . . .

Picking up my 09 Nissan Murano Black on Black - sometime this week. Added the sunroof and fog lights to the S model! Can't wait except they gave me the loaded model to drive since Saturday ... so it might be a let down since I don't have all the fun gadgets. Still have a bunch ... but what will I do without the backup camera? Oh yeah ... I'll have to turn around and back up!

Before that ... I had a 99 Chrysler 300M -- Loved that car for the first 80K then the last 20 were a bit rough!

2008 BMW X5 3.0si. Previous was a 2002 Escalade. X5 MPG not much better than the Escalade, but a lot more fun to drive smile.

I love this vehicle. Lots of room and super easy to get into and out of. Has 2nd row bucket seats and tons of room great for the 50+group.

I get about 22-23mpg with it too.

I relate with a lot of the comments on the June discussion as I won't buy a new vehicle either. CASH only gives your room to negotiate.

TJ, my mother has the same van. I have actually borrowed it before so I could pick up clients. You are right though. It is a very decent vehicle for getting in and out of. My mother's van has the automatic doors too. (Those are good for the elders!) lol wink

But NOT THIS MUCH SNOW (unless it's plowed first):

i cant wait ot test my Volvo in the snow this winter! i will have plenty of chances as i will be visiting my sister and brother in law in New Hampshire!

2005 Toyota Camry-I love this car! It only had 6400 miles on it when I bought it a few months ago. The former owner bought it new and didn't drive it very much. It's great on gas-my former vehicle was a 2001 Ford Windstar. Up until now I had only driven Fords. I will never go back now...:) Plus, it looks great for my new career in Real Estate.

Your clients over the age of 20 must be thrilled with this thing to go around on showings in. I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say they opt to take their own car. God help them if there is more than one and the back seat is needed. I would need the Jaws of Life to get out of that thing!

I must have been waiting to tell a little story from a couple years ago about my Friend Rosemary; a Broker with a competing Firm who did a splendid job of choreographing a batch of showings for a New Minister coming to her Church from out of State.

Rosemary lined up 8 or 10 houses to show to the Minister's Wife while he was being interviewed by the Church Elders; one of the Listings to be shown was mine. Then after the Wife had made a first cut, the Minister would participate in a second round of showings.

Rosemary was about 20 or 25 minutes late . . . . very much unlike her; she usually budgets just about the right amount of time to arrive right at the appointed moment.

When she did show, in her fully appointed Bright Red Jeep Grand Cherokee with contrasting Snow White Interior; she had the Minister's Wife and about 5 of his Kids in that vehicle, she jumped out and apologized:

"I'm so sorry for being late; we took time to stop for something to eat, but then little Sally here had an unfortunate disagreement with her Lunch".

That White interior was no longer Blemish Free. Little Sally must have really blasted the entire contents of her digestive system all over the Interior: Head Liner; Carpet; Windshield; Visors; Dashboard; Door Panels; and all of the other Occupants . . . . including the usually Pristine Rosemary (though she remained un-rattled throughout this endeavor).

Well, that showing was somewhat truncated. I don't know where they went next. Evidence of their having been at my Listing lingered long after they left. Rosemary now drives a smaller vehicle which only allows for Adults to accompany her, who can concentrate on Real Estate.

There but for the Grace of God go I. I always try to learn from others.

You and I are on the same Page.

I'm not Anti-Social; and I like Kids . . . . I used to be one.

I even allow them into my Listings; the Rule is One Child per each Adult. Most Sellers really detest the idea that Kids sometimes are allowed to run around and rummage through Toy Boxes, Dresser Drawers, Medicine Cabinets, etc. But that is a different Story. I don't allow Buyers to bring their Dogs either . . . . that's also a different Story. I'll stop NOW !

Kids are just one of the reasons that ALL showings of my Listings are Chaperoned by me ! And my Client Sellers like it that way !

2002 Red Ford Explorer, really fades into the scenery as every other car is the same color make and model. I get 20MPG so it's time to get something more economical. I've driven the Volvo, Lexus and Honda SUV's and I am not impressed. My husband made me test drive a GMC Enclave and I LOVE it. It was roomy and had all the bells and whistles. BUT.... Consumer Reports gives it a bad rating and I won't pay for a new one, it's only been out since 08. So I guess I'll continue to drive my 'Splorer. I really do love it!

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
