I thought I would share a pic of my new REO which is a genuine historic colonial and was built in 1739. The whole neighborhood has houses that are similar. It does need some work but many of the original features are still intact. If I mention George washington was 7 years old when it was built, it kind of puts things more into perspective.
I wonder if there are any ghosts living in it?

Wow.. I was in Boston earlier this week and went into a church built in 1723, which was impressive. I would love to see a house from the 1700s - things were built so much better back then!

I grew up north of Boston and used to laugh when I lived in South Florida and the "historic district" was houses built in the 1920's.

What do you think its worth? Do you have more pics? My oldest bpo was in the 1870's, and my oldest listing was 1910. Nothing compared to that.

It's in upstate NY near Woodstock in a small, rural town.

It sold for $250k ten years ago. Its assessed in the low 400's so maybe since it needs work and with financial mess and all, somewhere in between.
