One of the mortgage guys I know sent this along to me in an email. You can input up to 10 addresses in and it will quickly create a google map and route directions for you!

If you put your office as the first and last address it will make a "round trip" for you as well.

It doesn't work with every address, and I find that I have to ignore warnings of "Address not found" but so far I've played around with it and it works pretty good!

Thank you that is exactly what I have been looking for.

I had an old program that "optimized" but it was cumbersome.

Ok, here is a really good mapper that is very graphic and easy to use. There is one catch. It was originally designed for garage sales.

What you do is go to the section on the right that says trip planner, then set your starting address, then go to add custom address. Wala, you can move your addresses around to change the course and such. Pretty cool software.

Be careful with using google maps with more than a few addresses. I have found that the results can be different than expected. The API instructions even states that you should not submit multiple addresses (Paraphrase).

Actually I would like to rescind this. LOL. I tried it a few times and found that it really was not very good...I forgot to come back and change this.

Google maps has a new feature where you can drag points around and reroute your trip...in theory anyhow. When I tried it, I got zigzag lines all over the place and the more I tried to straighten it out, the worse it got.

I've had better luck with Mapquest. I can take a look at where all the various stops are, and then if it looks like I should go to the stops in a different order, I can change the order and it will redraw the map. I usually like Google maps better, but Mapquest is preferable for plotting multiple spots and then changing your mind. For me anyhow.

I've recently installed Google Maps on my Treo 650. That has proved to be a really useful tool, especially as I don't have a GPS. I was having a heck of a time finding an address a few days ago (house on a short alley). The Google Maps on my phone enabled me to zoom in really close and see just the couple blocks I was confused about. It has saved me a couple times.
