I need to see if I can get a price sheet for bpos.
I am fairly new to this, and I have a company
who is requesting my fees. I don't want to sell my self short
nor do I want to over sell myself, you can pm me if you like.
Your response is appreciated...thanks!

Average is $40-$60 for a driveby. $50-$80 for an interior. You can charge more if its a rush order, or if you want more than that.

Actually the Dre had a few articles about doing bpo/reo and potential income one could generate doing them. I say read past post for possible indications of what you could earn completing these bpos. Also depends on the area you are in. In my area somewhere in California I would never do an interior for 80 dollars. Then again, some other parts of the country they might. It is hard to say what you will be able to get and not get. You might even ask the company you are going to work for if they can give you an indication of what they usually pay their vendors. Tell them that you price yourself according to the quality work you do for your clients, yet always try to meet them half way when it comes to pricing. Shows that while you believe in your work you are willing to also work with pricing. I don't know might be worth a shot to put it in those terms.

There are many factors that go into pricing your services. Is your objective to make income from them or are you hoping to use them as a leader for listings (even if it is done at a loss)? How much time will they take, that is do you have a plentiful supply of comps in the area or will you spend a lot of time on research to find and evaluate properties to use in the comparison? How large a proximity are you expecting to cover, not just as a time factor in a trip to view and photograph the property but in terms of out of pocket expense for vehicle operation? Then there is what economists call the "opportunity cost" which is essentially what are you giving up doing to be able to do this?

Unfortunately the market for this service has driven down the fees companies are willing to pay due to the large number of agents that have decided (wrongly in my opinion) that this is "easy money". The law of supply an demand is alive and well!

In my own business I treat it as a stand alone cost center that must make money without depending on it to generate listings. I also cover a large (currently doing BPO work in 8 counties) geographical area which costs more in time and out of pocket expense to do business in. Much of it is a very rural area where there have only been limited transactions and frequently difficult to identify similar comparables. I also actively manage a portfolio of REO properties for multiple clients which requires that those needs be given priority. While some on this forum are critical of my posts saying that I am holding my line on fees (not joining in the competition for most orders) I find it critical for my business. Other agents working in suburban or urban areas may find they can due 10 or more a day and never have to venture more than relatively few blocks to do that; on the other hand it is not unusual for a BPO in my area to take half a day (much of it just in driving to and from the property). There are also those that are trying to make a business out of this alone and therefore have no other activities that they sacrifice.

In the final analysis only you can decide what your services are worth. Keep in mind your objectives, your costs, and good luck!

Yea, becareful for BPO sharks out there. When I first started, I agreed to do it for $25 because it was right around the corner from me. That was my first and last one with that company after I learned how much BPOs were going for. Oh, I also had one that asked me to do a BPO without pay BUT with a possibility of getting the REO listing.

Experience will be your guide. Lots of variables to weigh. Lots of work learning how to do a good BPO. And it seems everybody wants to get in on the order flow, driving prices down, making the business ever more challenging.

I did a commercial one for $150, it was a rush order that needed to be finished within 24 hours of the phone call.

I prefer not to discuss specific fees openly on the forum; I don't want anyone to get the idea that it is an attempt coordinate the price of services.

The most I have gotten for an exterior was $100 and $150 for an interior. Both were last week for the same company - 24 hour turnaround. Typically I receive half that for exteriors/interiors.
