We have signed a contract for a home. Our lawyer changed the close date without our knowledge or censent after we had signed the contract. We now learned that the seller of the home never intended to close on the agreed date. Is the new date binding?

So both you and the sellers had agreed and signed for one date, but then your attorney came in after the fact and changed it? If you didn't sign off on the new date, you have a right to accept, reject or renegotiate this change. Do you have some sort of agreement (in writing) with your attorney giving him the authority to make such changes without running them by you first?
