another mandatory class through the same online default school as Premiere but Premieres class doesn't count. This is getting rediculous !!!

there are client specific courses that apply to the individual client, pas, indy, et al. indy wouldn't necessarily care if you took the pas procedures course because that course dealt with pas procedures, their technology, their culture, their timelines, how they want a bpo done, etc. indy wants you to take the course that teaches about the indy way. so, if you are a list broker for both, both training courses would be needed. actually pretty simple and fair concept.

I just got accepted by IMB!!! I haven't take their course, but the other two I did. Should I wait for them to tell me to take the 3rd module or should go for it no matter what?

You should wait, save some money while waiting to get orders or will they not send you orders until you've completed their course?

To be or Not to be? That is the question, should I wait and forfeit the chance?

To be or Not to be? That is the question, should I wait and forfeit the chance? True, i think it all depends on your area, most areas these days are over saturated with agents, so its not worth paying for the class.

True, i think it all depends on your area, most areas these days are over saturated with agents, so its not worth paying for the class. Or... to use that logic that your area is saturated with agents, this may be their way of weeding out the serious agents. Don't know if it's true but that is another way to look at. Guess it depends on if you subscribe to the glass half full/empty theory.

I got my first IndyMac assignment before being notified of any Default training (and will give it back to them if they actually impose that requirement, I'm not taking on that expense!). It is about 60 miles one way.

Is this a trend, a girl friend of mine just told me she got her first assignment, it's about 35 miles away. She was afraid to reject it because she did not know when the next one would come. I made that mistake last year when i first joined ocwen, should have never rejected - nothing ever since.
Take the assignment, you may need the kudos...

When did you get your recent IMB assignment? Anybody out there feel like they are holding back assets? Thoughts?

Yes, definitely holding back assets. i was getting several a week, many of them i had to reject because they were so far away but then the FDIC went in and the faucet was completely turned off. i finished my default school training more than a month ago. i'm really starting to wonder if i should have paid for the default training.

I've done it for both Wells and IMB... yes its a bummer to shell out the $... but I've more then covered the costs from the vendors requiring it. So long as the vendor requesting it is doing business in your area... I'd do it.

I just finished my default training today! Only the first two basic courses. You know... I'll admit I actually learned some stuff. It was very repetitive, I finished the advanced final exam in 2 minutes with a 97%. I took the course because so many companies are requiring it now. I just want to be ready just in case.

AHMSI... I'm not set up with them... but a rep from there gave me an email address to do so... Have sent the request 2x without a reply. Any feedback on or offline would be great.

I will not be doing the Default School for PAS, IndyMac or AHMSI. I currently have listings from two of these and recently closed a sale on the other. If they are satisfied with my work we keep going; if they set Default School as another requirement I am that much closer to retirement. It is an expense I will not incur.

AHMSI has not notified me of any such requirement; where did you get that information? I heard from the man itself at the 5 Star conference. He's running the show and he was very clear!!! It is only $500 that will give you more business.

As I indicated in balance of my post, I'm too close to retirement to make that a requirement. I'm already shrinking the area I cover geographically and if a few clients get lost along the way it will give me that much more time to do the rest of life's pleasures! I'm really not looking for more business.
$500 may not sound like much in your part of the world; where I am it can be what is left out of a minimum commission sale that sold co-broke and having a referal out of the listing side.

Maybe just because Mr. F. has these Opinions along with the Time and Willingness to Share them; for which I am Thankful. Everyone comes to these Topics with a different point of view, formed from a different set of Life Experiences. I read the Opinions of those who are Wildly Enthusiastic right along with those whose experience has rendered their opinion somewhat Skeptical or maybe even Jaundiced. Then I form my own. I wouldn't want to stifle any one of them. In a free Country, I wouldn't have it any other way !

FOSQBJ:
I'm sorry if consider me bitter. It seems you have made similar comments before. I'm not quite sure why you feel that way as I don't. Am I guilty of calling things they way I see them? YES!
I have a steady flow of Private Messages from other forum members who have sought my advice, many have thanked me for my responses to them.
As for "dropping out" I don't see that happening yet; in fact I renewed my broker license for another 2 years just a month or so ago. Will I be cutting down the area I service? yes. While I will probably continue to offer BPO services in the 8 counties I now work in it is very likely that I will limit my REO listings to only 5 of them in the future. It is my intent to remain active as long as my mind is clear and I have physical strength to do the job. That being said I also have a number of other things do do while life remains.
Mr. Foreclosure
PS: Dale, thanks for your understanding and support of the American way.

I would be interested in hearing from someone who has already taken the class Advanced Evaluations 249.00 USD to see how much new information was provided or was it more of a refresher?
I took both courses. The advanced evaluations will still be basic info for anybody that has done bpos. That said, I still picked up some tidbits of info. I have not seen any return on my investment yet. I have not been able to take the invite courses: PAS, indy etc. I called default school and they said they have no control over those invites and that I would have to wait.

Maybe all of missed the boat. I think there is more money and less stress in offering an REO class or a list of companies you can buy than actually doing the work. Just a thought!!!

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
