I am so undecided!! My family votes Democrat & I usually vote Republican. I think McCain was sure smart pulling a woman VP. Now all the Hillary woman's rights people will be on board. If Obama would have picked Hillary he would have gotten it for sure...who knows now. Close call. I am not that into politics because I don't much understand ALOT of it & do not have time to research it all....wish I did though. I just heard that Obama is a muslim & the bible says we will all begin to trust a man with a turbin, give him the power & then get defeated from within... not too sure about him. Oh NO... now I have talked about politics & religion & will probably get blasted

I don't know what to make of the Biblical prophecies - America is not even mentioned in the "end times" prophecies (or anything remotely similar to America) which in and of itself, is rather frightening.

I try to take everything one day at a time. If Armageddon starts tomorrow, I'm cool with it - just take me home first, Jesus! See, I am a pre-tribulationist and pre-millenialist, I know what they are even if I can't spell them. So according to my theology, when things start getting nasty down here, I'll be gone with the saints to glory.

I like McCain/Palin. Yeah, McCain's older than dirt, but that just means he has more life experience. I like his wife too, especially after reading an e-mail a friend sent me about her and checking out the accuracy here http://www.snopes.com/politics/mccain/cindy.asp

The fact that McCain has actually served in the military is a big plus to me. I really feel that the person who is running our country, and therefore our military, should have military experience. I just don't understand how a pampered pretty-boy like Obama can run our military.

I like Palin so far, I watched her speech the other night. I was impressed. I don't know a lot about her yet, so my mind could change. I must say, however, that I think the media is being unfair to her. Why the hell would they ask her how she plans to handle being vice president AND a mother? They don't ask male candidates how they plan to be vice president AND a father (not that I've seen anyway). That pi$$ed me off a bit.

I don't think Obama is the next anti-christ, but I don't think he will do anything to improve America. In fact, I think that if he is elected and puts all of his tax increases into effect, the American economy will be MUCH worse than it already is.

WORSE! Im counting change to go the grocery store... Good God 8 years is enough... We were not at war with the world and the so called budget was kinda balanced...so he played around a little in the oval office...who cares...it didnt hurt me...

Lots of people were "counting change" going the grocery store under Clinton too. People still complained about the rising cost of gas, the loss of jobs to overseas factories....oh, but I know - it wasn't "as bad then." In my opinion, the "good old days" always look better - the grass is always greener on the other side of the calendar....

We may not have been at war with the world but we were still attacked by terrorists when Clinton was President (including the World Trade Center.) The 2001 attack happened too early into Bush's Presidency to objectively blame that on him....Who was President when the hostages were taken in Iran? Oh, yeah, a democrat (and they were released under an "actor" President....)

Let's just face it - it really doesn't matter what the freaking PARTY is - what matters is THE MAN.

Interestingly enough, the last three Presidents who were in office when the US entered into war were Democrats - FDR for WW2, Truman for Korea and JFK for Vietnam...and JFK's dem successor Johnson made it worse....and when it comes to Korea and Vietnam, it was republican presidents who were sitting when the conflicts ended.

I certainly hope that if politics are going to be open for discussion that people have done their research and know the facts on the issues and are not just expressing their deep seeded emotions and biases. Come on folks can we have serious informed objective dialogue?? Pretend you are writing a research paper, provide documentation (maybe even footnotes) before you submit your thoughts. Lets make a real effort to get the facts. And, keep religion out of it.
