Hi there :) I was wondering which Allied package I should get. There are two: Basic and Premium. Here is what each includes:

Basic - Six Online Courses and Online Practice Tests

or

Premium - Six Online Courses, Texas Exam Cram Video, Texas Exam Cram Vocabulary Flash Cards, Real Estate Math Tutor & Real Estate Dictionary and finally the 110% Money Back Promise

The premium is only 100.00 extra, not too bad, but I don't want to spend if its really not that much worth it, you know?

Did anyone use Allied and if so, which did you choose? I have heard of that license tutor website (obviously haven't gone to it yet). Would the basic package and that website be good, or would you all recommend the premium?

Thanks in advance!!!

Steph

I purchased the premium course (CA). I found that I did not need the extra study aids, only the exam cram booklet. I did the online courses, but purchased the books too because I like to have them as reference. ;-)

Thats what I was thinking. Can't you get the cram book of needed separately?

I did not use Allied - but did recently take the Texas test. There was little to no vocab questions, and only 2 math questions which you are provided with an amortization sheet and calculator. Not to discourage you from purchasing anything that will help you pass, but a lot of the stuff that people buy turns out to be a waste of money.

When I called Allied earlier, the guy on the phone was also stating something about people who take - and fail - the test in Texas have to pay for it all over again? I'm not 100% clear on what he meant by paying for it... Does he mean we have to pay to retake the exam?

I'm in CA... years ago I used Allied and I still recommend it to all of our new agents.

I'd go with the basic. Truth be told the practice test is all you need. Just do the practice test until you can instantly identify the answer and you'll do just fine!

Good Luck!

I used Allied last year...I guess I did the basic...I dont remember another option...I used license tutor to prepare for the state test......nailed it with room to spare...

Just take tests over and over again until you have it cold...as far as prep courses go...but also remember the tried and true test taking tips......doing easy ones first..elimating wrong answers.....etc..

there were only 2 math questions on my test.....

I was nervous..but took my time...I think I was the last too leave that day...
