I know this is a very general question, but I was wondering what you make on average per house you sell? What is the minimum and maximum commision you have made being a RE Agent?
Thanks!

I don't remember the dollar figure on the topside; but I do remember selling a 2 Acre Piece of Dirt (Land) for $3000 where the Commission was 10% and it was a Co-Broke so we split $300 and then my Agency at the time took 50% of my $150, so I got $75.00. The Closing was conducted about 40 miles away; so that took something away also ! But I didn't turn my nose up at it . . . . A Sale is a Sale !
The Listing Agent also netted a whole $75.00; but he had to go to the property about 7 times including 2 visits with a Surveyor and then a final one to walk the lines with my Buyer. The Surveyor probably received $1500.00.
I remember it well because it was one of the Mandatory 10 Transactions a Salesperson had to participate in to qualify for a Broker's License . . . . so I chalked it up to education (like several thousand other seemingly wasteful activities).

So how many houses do you on average sell per month? Also, is 3,000 - 4,000 commision per house a fair average on a house that sells for 150,000 - 200,000?

Don't mean to "double-post" but what does Double-ended mean?

Perky is referring to a situation where she did the WHOLE JOB; she Listed a Property and then Sold the same property WITHOUT having to rely on someone else to perform the Selling Side of the Transaction . . . . In other words, NOT a Co-Broke.
For illustration, what I referred to above was a Co-Broke on my giant $3000 Sale. Had the Listing Agent been able to make the Sale WITHOUT my assistance, then he would have Double-Ended the Deal and received a Whopping $150.00!
What a Day it would have been for him !
I might add that the $3000 Transaction has put many other Commissions in my pocket over time . . . . Like Magic ! Mostly because the Buyers knew I told them about EVERYTHING that was on the Market at that moment in time; and including the CHEAPEST things and NOT just my own Listings.

It really depends on the split with the broker and if there is a franchise fee involved. If my split right now were 60% and an 8% franchise fee, if I co-broked a house for $178,000, my approx. commission would be about $2900.

if i close on a 300k property, i would expect to walk with somewhere between 7500 and 9000 dollars.
of course i have all of my expenses out of that, but the expenses that one would incur are mostly self imposed.

If I co-broke 178,000 my check will read 3579 before I pay the uncle and expenses.
