Remax Agents or 100% agents what do you pay month

I saw a post on here that someone at a Remax office was paying $1,250 per month and getting a 95/5 split.
I worked at Remax...and left for another broker.
The Remax owner called me and we were talking and I asked him what split he would give me if i came back... He said 100% and I would pay $600 a month desk...then like $215 for remax fee...
I would think a lot of broker owners are hurting for agents right now...and would be very open to negotiating their fees, etc.
So what do you pay a month and what is your split percentage?

My REMAX office just implemented something similar to the above - for at-home agents only though. 100% with a $750 desk fee + a 1% franchise fee on each transaction. Previously, the "best" deal was a 70/30% split with a $500/month fee that went to 95/5 after you'd paid out around $15k.

I'm at a 100% shop...
I pay $69/month $40 per transaction for E&O $239 on the first transaction of every month
That's it...it's the best deal going as far as I can tell, but my brokerage is only in Florida at this point.

It seems all the so called 100% agencies have to make money through other channels for the broker. If there is nothing in it for the broker then he doesn't need the agent. This often takes the form of charging desk fees, copying machine use (also 'phone and fax) at more than cost, agency or franchise fees, a disproportionate amount of E&O insurance, etc. Bottom line the only thing that is 100% is the commission and all these other expenses charged the agent are how the broker makes money.
It makes me feel very good to know that since I am now "solo" I not only get 100% of my commissions but also am paying only actual costs of doing business without handing over some amount to a sponsoring broker.

Is the 1% franchise fee on each transaction calculated off the top of the 100% commission to the agent? In other words 1% of the total broker co-op? Sounds highly competitive.

With all of the Remax offices I've spoken to you have to give a 2 month notice when you leave. If you don't, they still try and charge you for those 2 months. I asked the broker to delete that requirement from the contract, and he was going to but I signed with a C21 office anyhow. With this C21 office the franchise fee is 6%, 70/30 split till you pay 15k. No other fees, no fee for copies, no $135.00 internet connection fee, no other fees. The BIGGEST thing is that I have a semi private office, me and one other agent only. With the Remax people, I had none, only a common work area and a 70/30 split till you contribute $12,500, and the opportunity to pay for alot of other, unforseen things. For me, that made the C21 deal was waaayyy better. I think you have to look at the big picture, and what's right for you. For me, having an office to go to is a must.

Yes, the need or desire for an office is a big factor for some people. We only stop by the office to file paperwork and have several computers networked at home, along with the fax, scanner, copier, etc.

My office is: $69 per month $275 per transacton
I guess they make money because they have over 1000 agents now. It's the old "high volume, low price' walmart concept I guess,

I'm at $25/mo 100% $250 Transaction fee, plus $50 E&O per transaction.
I think we get free copies, but I don't hit the office much. We also get free efax, transaction coordinator, and tons of other stuff. Free training too. I love it.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
