One of the offices i just interviewed is offering this as a big selling point as party of their training program.

Has anyone taken it, if so can you tell me how good it is, worth taking?

Want the truth? Buffini is a great guy, ok? But go where the money is, really that's what being in business is all about. Making the most money in the least amount of time is King.

Work within your market!

I see real estate agents all the time working against themselves because of what some trainer is pushing (selling).

Everyone is trying to sell something. Buffini & Company push the business directory, at a low cost of $99/month. Any motivational speaker can't be bad for business but I wouldn't buy into products they are offering. I haven't been to one of the 100 Days of Greatness seminars, but imagine it is similar to Robert Kiosaki or Donald Truimp Rich Dad Poor Dad series. Most of them explain how great things can be, and all you have to do is by the product to get started...

couldn't hurt to try, esp. if they are offering as part of a training program

Actually I've seen some of Buffini's materials. He is not saying you have to buy his system to succeed (though he offers it of course.... wink )

I think it's a great seminar. Just know this - you CAN succeed without the coaching/mentor thing. If you take what you learn and APPLY It and have the DESIRE TO SUCCEED SO BAD YOU CAN TASTE IT, you can succeed.

You have to WANT it and you have to WORK your business. Coaches/trainers will say you NEED to pay them to help you - eh, maybe...but really if you have the drive to do it, if you have the money to hang in there till the commissions come in, you CAN.

If you CAN'T do it without a weekly pow-wow that you have to pay big bucks for, maybe you should consider a different career...lol.

OK I have my decision down to two which have very similar structures. I was wondering if this incentive may be enough to sway me one way or the other but it doesn't sound like it is. Thanks

Dean - i imagine you are talking about a ReMAX office, as they have a relationship with Buffini. Maybe this is obvious - but just in case - you do know you can attend a Buffini event that he holds throughout the country and access his info/programs that way.

Personally I think the more of the training seminars you take the better an agent you will be. Think about the amount of study you have to do get a degree in most fields. You can't learn everything you need to know by trial and error. I don't advocate coaching programs but I have taken seminars from most of the major trainers, and have learned something important from each of them. You don't have to buy the entire program hook line and sinker to get your money's worth. If you get one tip that makes one sale based on what you learned, it will normally pay for the course.

Buffini is one of the ones I haven't taken, but I have heard great things about him.

Hey CC thanks, not a Remax, its actually a more local and growing franchise company. The local office here has only been around for about 4-5 years and is already at 500 agents. UD Preferred is their name

Thanks for input everyone.

Buffini is great, I just finished his course (for free). I'd be a bit mad if I paid for the course, though it was free.

The main point to Buffini is PERSONAL contact with the SOI. Hand write them a note. Meet sombody, put a plug in about real estate in a friendly way, get their info, and send them a note and an item of value.

I saw a huge spike in my business once I started the Buffini course. I also used it in conjuntion with Jennifer Allen who is a member on this board. I don't agree with either of their systems 100% but I took from Brian what I liked, and I take from Jennifer what I like.

I have never boughten anything from Buffini, I have boughten some of the Jennifer Stuff. Its worked for me. They both teach different things that contridicate each other, but, I merged their styles and I survive.

There is no "canned" style in sales. Find what works for you and run with it.

I'm in agreement with REO Dayton. I have had the chance to see the 100 days to greatness on video.

I think Brian takes it TOO far in that it's over the top and obviously "fake" in my opinion - Jennifer has some of the same principals in her approach but with hers it is much more natural and definitely not fake.

The biggest difference between Jennifer's and Brian's approaches that stands out to ME is that she does not ASK for referrals, and Brian doesn't STOP asking for referrals. Brian's approach seems akin to bribery. LOL

Brian gives you great ideas for showing appreciation to your clients though.

There are three main differences between my philosophy and Mr. Buffini's... (and no, I don't have a "program" to sell):

1. I advise never to ask/beg/bribe for referrals

2. I preach that by taking exceptional care of your current clients, you won't have to worry about where your future ones will come from.

3. I teach how to attract business instead of pursuing it.

Mr. Buffini and I have the same ultimate goal - to generate a whole bunch of business by nurturing the personal relationships in your life... however our philosophies on how best to do that are worlds apart.

The only thing I really disagree with Jennifer abour is her point #1. Brian Buffini teaches you to beat the referral out of your SOI, Jennifer teaches that the SOI will come to you. I use alot of Jennifer's approach, but I do ask for referrals, but in a very subtle comfortable way.

I do believe you have to attract business, but once the allure is there, you have to pursue it. A contact today may not want to buy or sell anytime soon, but that same contact can produce a referral base if they are comfortable with you.
