Want the truth? Buffini is a great guy, ok? But go where the money is, really that's what being in business is all about. Making the most money in the least amount of time is King.
Work within your market!
I see real estate agents all the time working against themselves because of what some trainer is pushing (selling).

Actually I've seen some of Buffini's materials. He is not saying you have to buy his system to succeed (though he offers it of course.... ) I think it's a great seminar. Just know this - you CAN succeed without the coaching/mentor thing. If you take what you learn and APPLY It and have the DESIRE TO SUCCEED SO BAD YOU CAN TASTE IT, you can succeed. You have to WANT it and you have to WORK your business. Coaches/trainers will say you NEED to pay them to help you - eh, maybe...but really if you have the drive to do it, if you have the money to hang in there till the commissions come in, you CAN. If you CAN'T do it without a weekly pow-wow that you have to pay big bucks for, maybe you should consider a different career...lol.

Dean - i imagine you are talking about a ReMAX office, as they have a relationship with Buffini. Maybe this is obvious - but just in case - you do know you can attend a Buffini event that he holds throughout the country and access his info/programs that way.

Personally I think the more of the training seminars you take the better an agent you will be. Think about the amount of study you have to do get a degree in most fields. You can't learn everything you need to know by trial and error. I don't advocate coaching programs but I have taken seminars from most of the major trainers, and have learned something important from each of them. You don't have to buy the entire program hook line and sinker to get your money's worth. If you get one tip that makes one sale based on what you learned, it will normally pay for the course.
Buffini is one of the ones I haven't taken, but I have heard great things about him.

There are three main differences between my philosophy and Mr. Buffini's... (and no, I don't have a "program" to sell):
1. I advise never to ask/beg/bribe for referrals
2. I preach that by taking exceptional care of your current clients, you won't have to worry about where your future ones will come from.
3. I teach how to attract business instead of pursuing it.
Mr. Buffini and I have the same ultimate goal - to generate a whole bunch of business by nurturing the personal relationships in your life... however our philosophies on how best to do that are worlds apart.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
