Look in the phone book, call some Real Estate offices, and find out who the new Realtors are. Sounds silly , but what the newbie Realtor just learned preparring for the test and what knowledge about mortgages that you just learned will make for a productive idea sharing event that can build a striong partnership.
Want to have the biggest realtor in town? Bring him/her borrowers, return phone calls (sounds obvious but you WILL get lazy) , and if you can, fax a report weekly to your Realtor's office giving them their borrowers status. Sure you have their email and phone number, maybe you already told them, but your Realtor won't be the ONLY one that sees that fax....and the other Realtors might just want to know why THEIR mortgage guy doesn't do the same for them.
I have no net branch, don't need any loan officers below me, and won;t charge you a thing, but if you ever need any tips please feel free to call or email me and I will help you out. It's a great job and as long as you make it fun you will make it big.
