I've been hearing that for a few months now. Are you speculating or investing?

The whole Charlotte metro area is booming, including the upstate area of SC (including Ft.Mill, Rock Hill). We keep hearing about a slow down, but haven't experienced it here yet (and hopefully won't)

AI. Well, I am a Realtor in Johnston County, NC. Johnston County is located adjacent and southeast of Wake County, which is where Raleigh is located. The market here is very stable. We are not experiencing issues as other markets at this time. Wake County is a strong market. It has been a growing area for some time now. They are experiencing growing pains in relation to the school system and transportation. But, the property value continues to increase . We are experiencing the ripple effect of the overgrowth of Wake County. Our area is growing at a rapid pace. There are definately excellent investment opportunities in this area. Please email me and I can tell you more.

If you are thinking about buying in North Carolina, there are definately areas that you can still buy low, esspecially when compared to New York prices. Let me know if I can help you further. I've been to NC and have no desire to move there, I love New York! NC is way to hot for me. But I have noticed that a lot of my sellers move there, and lately some of the areas they are looking in prices seem high. Plus I've noticed what people moving BACK here have sold and listed their houses for.

Many people that move here and don't like it. It's a different lifestyle and culture and it takes time to get used to.

I see you are out of Cary, so I am sure you see that often. I agree with you that some do not embrace the "native culture", but as someone who also grew up in the North, time does more than help to get used to the differences, I believe it makes one embrace the differences. There is nothing like some sweet tea on a summer's day!

NC, specifically Charlotte, is a really really good place to live in right now. My cousin just bought a house for 185K and it was a 3BR, 3 BA, 2-car garage. The deck had a gazebo and the closet space was awesome. He couldn't believe it as he had just transferred from Anaheim where houses cost a fortune. All the luck! ----- Why match when you can itzamatch?

I really like the Triangle Area of North Carolina. I personally live in Wake Forest; which has been one of the fastest areas in the Triangle as far as growth. If you would like I can send you a relocation packet which can give you more info on all the different areas in and around the Triangle. I should mention that the Triangle consists of Raleigh, Morrisville, Cary, Durham, Chapel Hill, Apex, Wake Forest, Holly Springs, Fuquay Varina, Youngsville, Knightdale, etc...

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
